Welcome to Family and Friends:
Welcome to the ceremony that will unite the lives of (Groom), (Bride) and (Child).
They have invited us here today to rejoice with them and for them.
Opening:
(Groom) and (Bride), we are here to remember and rejoice with you and to recount with one another that it is love that guides us on our path, and to celebrate as the two of you along with (Child), begin this journey together.
(You may wish to add a reading or song here)
It is in this spirit that you have come here to today to exchange these vows.
VOWS:
Would the three of you join hands and together repeat after me.
-I give my heart / and my unconditional love / I promise to live in truth / and to share fully / fearlessly / as I join / my life to yours.
(You may wish to add a reading or a song here)
RINGS:
For thousands of years lovers have exchanged rings as a token of their vows. These simple bands are not of great value in themselves but are made precious by our wearing of them. Your rings say that even in your uniqueness you have chosen to be bound together.
(Child), the rings please.
(Groom) and (Bride), put each other’s rings on and together, repeat after me:
-Just as this circle is without end / so is my love for you / my promise to you will never fail / with this ring / I take you / to be my trusted confidante / and partner for life.
(You may wish to use the Unity Candle Ceremony here)
PRONOUNCEMENT:
(Groom) and (Bride), although I'm officiating here today, it is not truly in my power to sanctify, legitimize or bless your relationship in any way, the two of you have already done that in your hearts.
So, by looking into each other's eyes, let it be known that you are joined, body and soul in this lifetime, and that this bond is sacred and eternal. You ARE Husband & Wife. You may kiss!
Ladies and gentlemen:
(Groom), (Bride) and (Child)!
*This is written for only one child, however, it can be
accommodated for multiple children.
